  • Residency-trained therapists have gone through an additional year of rigorous training where we received 150+ hours of mentorship in our field. Additionally, once we sit and pass the board certified exam (orthopedic specific exam in this case), we make up only 9% of our profession that are board certified specialists.

Dr. Alexis and Dr. Kasey are both residency trained!

  • PIONE3R Physical Therapy & Wellness is an out of network provider. We operate as a cash based care system which prioritizes the client by taking out the middleman (insurance) and allows the physical therapist to decide what the best treatment options are for the client without the insurance being the one to decide these things. We are fully transparent with our pricing up front, so you won't end up with a bill you weren't expecting at the end. Cash based care provides greater freedom for the client to choose the care they desire.

If you would like to self-submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, we are happy to provide a super bill with all the information for you to submit! We do accept FSA and HSA cards for physical therapy sessions.

  • There are many benefits to this including:

There is no limit to how many visits you may have that is often limited by insurance.

It is full 1-on-1 care where you will never be seen with another patient at the same time.

You are able to treat the whole person. The therapist can treat your neck, your knee and your ankle all within the same plan if needed!

Research has proven 1-on-1 care will decrease the number of visits needed to return the client back to their goals.

The frequency of visits is more often only 1x/week instead of 2-3x/week.

If cost is your only barrier, please feel free to reach out to us at the email below.

  • Here is a complete list of all credentials Alexis and/or Kasey have:

PT: This means the individual is a licensed physical therapist.

DPT: This stands for the actual degree which is a doctorate of physical therapy. To become a PT, you have to complete a bachelor degree and then go onto PT school which is 3 years of a doctorate degree program.

OCS: This means the individual is a board certified orthopedic specialist. For Alexis and Kasey, this means they have gone through residency and passed the board exam that is created by the physical therapy association.

CSCS: This means the individual is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. The person has sat for and passed the accrediting exam that allows them to best program training for you and provide some nutritional advice.

PCES: Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist achieved after going through a certification course.

  • No. The state of Texas direct access law allows physical therapy services to be received for 15 business days for residency trained physical therapists. If treatment is required past the 15 days, a medical doctor's referral will be needed at this time. If it is believed that the client needs more than 15 business days of direct care, it will be discussed during your first evaluation or later on before the 15 business days have passed. Physical therapist's are highly trained in referring to other healthcare providers if it is believed physical therapy may not be the safest/best option for the client.

  • The video call will be through the PtEverywhere app. When you booked the call, you had to set up an account with an email. You can now download the app or login via the desktop option and create a login with the email used and a password. Once your coach or physical therapist starts the call, you will get a notification to join!

  • Your first visit will be 60 minutes long. Your therapist will go through a full assessment consisting of a detailed history, posture, assessing strength, endurance, movement patterns and balance. From the initial session on, all treatment will be tailored to your individual needs, however all appointments will be a 60 minute time slot. All sessions are unique to your needs and will never be identical to another client’s session.

  • You should wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move well.
