Excellence. Education. Empowerment.

Pioneers are people who lead the way for others. Founder, Dr. Alexis Shoope, had a dream that was birthed through prayer. That dream was PIONE3R Physical Therapy & Wellness. With a deep conviction and calling to be a pioneer for others, Dr. Alexis ventured into much unknown with this concept.

The “E3” within the name stands for Excellence, Education, and Empowerment.

PIONE3R Physical Therapy & Wellness was created to bridge the gap between physical therapy and fitness.

After working in the traditional medical model, we found it was really challenging to provide the high quality care we desired for our patients. Patients were often booked with one, two or three other patients at once while being seen by the PT for part of it and the PT tech for the other portion. We were tired of being limited by the lack of one-on-one time with our patients, the high levels of documentation that took away from time with our patients and the limits insurance placed on treatment. At PIONE3R, we guarantee one on one care, assessing you as a whole person and not just a painful body part, and guiding you back to what you want to do fully!

 Meet the Team

Dr. Alexis Shoope PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, PCES

Owner/Founder of PIONE3R Physical Therapy & Wellness

Dr. Alexis Shoope is a board certified orthopedic physical therapist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Alexis has taken a special interest in working with those with back, hip and pelvic floor related issues. She graduated from Northwestern University and then completed Memorial Hermann’s orthopedic residency in Houston, TX.

Alexis has a passion about general health and feels it is important to consider a full body approach which includes things like stress, sleep, nutrition and beliefs and how these impact someone’s pain. She has a desire to teach and empower each client she works with so that each person feels they learn how to manage their pain without relying on her. She believes manual therapy is a component of physical therapy, but exercise and strength training are the key to long term changes most people are searching for.

Her passion for teaching and empowering her clients began from hearing story after story from clients who felt they never understood the why behind what they were doing. People were simply told “don’t do this and don’t do that.” They were never told what they should do and how they could get back to the things they love.

Alexis started PIONE3R Physical Therapy and Wellness in 2021 after God put this dream on her heart. The Lord has continued to show up in many ways along this journey and PIONE3R wouldn’t be here without His faithfulness! PIONE3R was created with the hope to help as many people as possible become pain free while avoiding unnecessary surgery and excess pain medication along the way.

Because of this, she chose to focus on providing a form of physical therapy that allowed her to work with patients one-on-one to make sure their rehabilitation was specialized and intentional. Kasey’s hope is to provide better quality care to her patients to get patients towards their ideal lifestyle as efficiently as possible.
